Jon Strong

Jon is the owner and operator of Dbacks Insider, an affiliate of Dugout Nation baseball blogs. Jon grew up in Omaha, Nebraska as an avid baseball fan. He’d hang around with other kids in his neighborhood and play stickball before and after day baseball games and whenever there were off days during the summers in Omaha. Naturally, during his youth he also spent many days attending the College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium. The CWS was his first exposure to baseball when he was growing up and it’s where his love for baseball started to bloom.

Jon moved to Arizona in January of 1990 to attend Arizona State University. He joined the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity that same spring and his life was forever changed. In 1993, shortly after the ASU chapter of ATO was abruptly kicked off campus, Jon decided to move to Denver, Colorado. There he completed his college education and returned to live in Phoenix in 1999. Jon has lived in the Phoenix area ever since. He currently is married with two young kids.
