MLB Announces 2017 Postseason Schedule, NL Wild Card Game to be Held October 4th
It’s that time of year again. MLB has just released the 2017 postseason schedule. While the schedule gives us specific dates to plan around — assuming you plan around the baseball playoffs, which, why not? — but the teams remain to be determined. That is unless you’re the Dodgers, who could conceptually clinch the division by the beginning of September.
The National League Wild Card game, which is most likely where the Diamondbacks will find themselves if they clinch a playoff spot, is scheduled to be played on Wednesday, October 4. The D-backs last game of the season is against the Kansas City Royals on October 1.
The American League Wild Card game will be held on Tuesday, October 3. That game will be the only playoff game held on ESPN. All the other games will be held on either TBS or Fox Sports, with the World Series being carried on Fox Network.
