
Watch: Jake Lamb Hits Two Doubles, Drives In All Three D-backs Runs (Video)
Jake Lamb is a rising star for the Arizona Diamondbacks and last night he showed why. On a night when Jake Arrieta wasn’t giving up much, Lamb took what was available.
In the top of the 6th inning, Lamb pulled a line drive down the right field line just past Cubs first baseman, Anthony Rizzo. That turned into a double and scored the D-backs first two runs on only their third hit of the night.
Lamb did it once again in the top of the 8th, this time driving the ball to left field for his second double of the night, scoring the third and final run for him and the D-backs. Those two doubles proved to be more than enough offense on a night where the D-backs pitching staff shut the Cubs down.
