Diamondbacks Starting Lineup: Peralta in Right Field as Martinez Sits For Nationals Series-Opener

Max Scherzer will pitch for the Nationals tonight at Chase Field.

David Peralta will get the start in right field tonight as J.D. Martinez sits again, just two days after leaving the game early with a contusion to his left hand. Unless Martinez appears in a pinch-hit role, Diamondbacks fans will have to wait to see their newest acquisition up close and in person.

Zack Godley will take the mound today for the D-backs after he was moved up in the rotation due to Taijuan Walker going out on paternity leave. Speaking of Walker, while I haven’t seen any details, he did tweet out the following message to his followers on Twitter:

Congratulations to Taijuan!
