D-backs Roster Update: J.D. Martinez Added to 25-Man Roster, Rey Fuentes Placed on 10-Day DL
If you’ve seen today’s lineup than you already know that J.D. Martinez is active and starting in right field. If you haven’t seen it, click here to check it out.
To make room for Martinez on the active roster, the Diamondbacks have placed Rey Fuentes on the 10-day disabled list with a right thumb contusion. Fuentes figured to be the odd man out upon the arrival of Martinez. He’s out of minor league options so it’s possible that if a spot on the active roster doesn’t open up once he returns, the D-backs may have to place him on waivers.
